Thanks to George, I am now able to enjoy a leashed walk with my dog! He’s incredibly anxious, stubborn and energetic when on a walk, and I’ve tried countless things over the years to train him with no luck. He no longer pulls and is even able to self regulate when we come across his triggers outside after just one session with George! Our other dog loves to take her time to stop and sniff on walks and he now slows down and stops with us, where previously I had been pulled to the ground trying to walk them both. We were also able to eliminate our dogs digging in the yard and improved our other dog’s attention seeking behaviours based on George’s advice. If you’ve been considering training for your dog, I would highly recommend George at True Dog Training - he has changed our everyday lives for the better! It was very well worth it and I wish I had done it sooner!

George is a dog-whispering genius! We could not recommend his board and train service more highly. He took our highly reactive, jumpy, cheeky and stubborn 9 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Rosie, and returned us a well behaved, much more sensible dog 3 weeks later. She’s still her cheeky self, but we feel we’ve fast forwarded two years of training. George sent us lots of videos and updates of Rosie along the way, learning, playing, and snuggling with other dogs on his fantastic property. He took great care of her when a scratch got infected. We are so grateful to George—his time with Rosie was an investment worth every penny. Walks are no longer stressful and I don’t worry about her misbehaving with visitors to our home. George has been terrific with my kelpie cross. She pulled on lead no matter what harness I tried, halter training, nothing worked. George resolved this it in one session! The next session I learned how to have recall off lead. My dog’s and my life is such a joy now with our adventures and many more planned. Excited to take her on bush walks, beach walks and planning dog friendly getaways for us now. The freedom and pleasure we now have has opened the doors to much better quality of life for both of us. George is a miracle worker!! In just 3 weeks he has managed to train my 2 year old border collie Penny in all the things I couldn’t! She now has recall, sit/stay, heeling on and off leash!!! She doesn’t attack the vacuum any more. She is a beautifully natured dog and she came back the same way but better behaved! She loved her stay with George and family and didn’t want to get in the car to come home lol. I’m so impressed with his training and he clearly loves dogs. I had previously had a disappointing training with someone else but George showed Penny was able to learn and quickly. I 100% recommend True Dog Training and George to everyone. George kept me updated all the way through with videos and the handover when I picked her up wasn’t rushed and focussed on training me on what to do.

100% Highly recommend! Sending our anxious 11 month old Mini Cavoodle to stay with George and complete the board and train program has been worth the investment. George regularly messaged with video updates/progress as they went on excursions to the shops, parks and cafes. I’m happy handover was at home with the kids. Post handover, George was available to message about any questions. The package also included follow up sessions to help us with staying on track with training methods. Our fur baby is more confident, well mannered around other dogs plus happy around family and friends. I appreciate that he was trained at a caring a farm home stay environment. Best thing is that walking our dog doesn’t result in a sore back anymore, and we can let him play at the parks freely and he comes straight back when called. I’m excited to go to the beach and take our dog everywhere, even on holiday!

Thanks to George our little Cavoodle now responds positively to our commands which adds to the quality of our relationship together with our dog Junior. Thankyou George and Thankyou for the many days ahead where we can now be confident in Juniour walking without a leash as well as recall. You’ve taught him a lot but you’ve taught us a lot more. We’ve done a 3 week boarding training with 7month old Juniour and he has adapted very well. This training has really boosted his ability behave obediently and orderly around other dogs as well. I spoke to George about our 6 month old Groodle pup’s behavior, especially her constantly barking. He was very understanding and helpful over the phone and she has calmed down a lot after taking his advice. Very grateful. Thank you so much George.

We highly recommend using George from True Dog Training. We had one session and he taught us so much about recall and lead pulling. Took our dog for a walk today and he responded so well to the techniques we got taught. Will definitely be spreading the word if anyone needs a trainer ☺️
